![]() It spreads very easily on my skin, and absorbs fast. This serum has given very good results for me. I usually use it at night time, so I do not follow it with a sunscreen, though I do follow it with a moisturiser. I usually use it once a day, around 5-6 drops, and spread it on my clean face and neck area sparing the eyes (Vitamin C causes micro exfoliation, you see). Keeping in the fridge has led the product to become a bit thicker than before, but that’s not an issue with me. I have managed to use up the entire content without it turning yellow. I still have a very little amount left now (for another 15-20 days maybe). I have been using it since 3 and half months (though its shelf life is 3 months) and it has not turned yellow yet. As soon as I received the product, I took it to a partially dark room, and divided the contents between the three bottles (10 ml in each) and closed it tight with the dropper. So, I had taken two of my son’s amber color medicine bottles, washed and dried it and closed it with a dropper. I was determined, you see, that none of my product goes waste. My Experience with Timeless Skin Care 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum: So, the vitamin C which lasts just 1-2 weeks, will last around 2-3 months in the presence of these stabilisers. Also, the addition of ferulic acid to the combination of vitamins C and E appears to increase protection from UV-induced skin damage. It is a potent antioxidant and may improve the stability of Vitamin C in water solution. Therefore, even if some of the vitamin C in a product is degraded, the remainder works better in the presence of vitamin E.įerulic acid is a naturally occurring phenolic compound found primarily in plant cell walls. Vitamin E enhances the antioxidant effects of Vitamin C when they are co-applied to the skin. Amongst various other methods, vitamin C can be stabilized and potentiated by the addition of Vitamin E and Ferulic acid. When exposed to air, vitamin C solution undergoes oxidation and becomes not only ineffective but also potentially harmful (oxidized vitamin C may increase the formation of free radicals). Unfortunately, vitamin C is relatively unstable. If you have any acne scars, sun spots, brown pigmentation spots, you’ll find them fading with regular application. ![]()
